Stephen Morrissey

Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist / Injection Therapist

Stephen Morrissey is a specialist musculoskeletal clinician with over a decade of experience across the NHS, the Health Service Executive, and elite professional sport. He previously worked as a Senior Physiotherapist at Leeds United Football Club and as a Clinical Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist within the NHS.

He holds postgraduate specialist training in musculoskeletal medicine and advanced clinical assessment, enabling detailed evaluation, diagnosis, and management of a wide range of spinal and peripheral musculoskeletal conditions within Moorefield Medical Centre.

​

His clinical practice includes landmark-guided injection therapy using corticosteroid and hyaluronic acid treatments where clinically indicated, forming an important component of his musculoskeletal management approach. Patient education, hands-on treatment techniques, structured rehabilitation, orthotic advice, and dry needling may also be incorporated to support recovery and functional improvement.

He works collaboratively with GPs and consultant colleagues to support appropriate
imaging and referral pathways for orthopaedic or specialist opinion when required.
