Meet our Team
Dr Bernard Healy
​
Dr Bernard Healy is a GP in Newbridge for the past 23 years. In addition to Family Medicine he has postgraduate qualifications in Paediatrics, Women's Health, Occupational Medicine and Sports Medicine. His interest in sport has led him to work with the Irish Horse Racing Board, Kildare County soccer team, Sarsfields GAA and the Irish Athletic Boxing Association. He served as the ICGP clinical tutor for Kildare for many years, as well as being involved in undergraduate training with UCC and RCSI. When not in the office (rare!) he can be found on the sidelines of various clubs cheering on his son and daughters at rugby, GAA and soccer.
Dr Bismil Ali-Ali

Dr Bismil Ali (MD, PhD, DCh, DObs, MICGP) grew up in Saudia Arabia, Pakistan, and Spain. He graduated from the University of Zaragoza, Spain in 2012. He completed his Specialist training in Pamplona, under the Spanish National Specialist Training program in General Practice in 2016.
Dr. Bismil finished his doctoral thesis in 2018 and was awarded his PhD in Health Sciences by the Public University of Navarra, Spain. He has over 10 publications in peer reviewed journals and has presented research to national and international audiences. He was formally involved in training medical students and residents while working in Hospital of Navarra.
Dr Bismil attained his MICGP in 2020. Dr Bismil joined the Moorefield Medical Clinic in 2022. His areas of special interest are dermatology, minor surgery, joint injections, emergency medicine.
Nurse Sharon McCabe​

Nurse Sharon is a values member of our Moorefield Medical Clinic’s Women’s Health team. With over 20 years of experience as a dual-qualified nurse and midwife, Sharon is a fantastic addition to the MMC team because she is truly passionate about providing exceptional care in women’s health, and in early newborn care.

Sharon brings a wealth of experience from healthcare settings worldwide and has an expertise in women’s health backed by internationally recognised qualifications. Committed to empowering women and families, Nurse Sharon brings a wealth of knowledge, compassionate support, and evidence-based practice to ensure the best outcomes at every stage of life’s journey from birth to menopause and beyond!
