Nurse Ramona O'Neill
Meet Nurse Ramona ONeill
With over 25 years of experience as a Registered General Nurse—18 of those in general practice — Nurse Ramona brings a wealth of knowledge and skills to our team. Her early career in orthopaedics and Accident and Emergency provided a strong clinical foundation and an ability to act swiftly under pressure. The hospital’s loss was our patients’ gain as the opportunity to support people within the community initially drew Ramona to general practice.
Ramona has a particular passion for health promotion and wellbeing, caring for patients across all stages of life—from early childhood immunisations to chronic disease management in older adults. Her role encompasses a wide range of clinical services, including cervical screening (CervicalCheck), wound care, post-operative management, phlebotomy, travel vaccinations, and general medical support.
Known for her calm professionalism, organisational and scheduling abilities Ramona has played a significant role in the expansion of the Chronic Disease Management Programme for our patients with chronic diseases and of our travel vaccine clinic.
Ramona values the variety and fast pace of practice nursing. And it’s this dynamic environment—and the meaningful difference she makes each day—that keeps her work both challenging and rewarding.
